Honestly, the victims of art theft are often the ones that annoy me more. They handle it so poorly, and with such a middle school lets-get-my-friends-to-gang-up-on-them-and-call-them-names mentality that they come off as pompous, juvenile, ridiculous gits.

Seriously, is it really that hard to deal with that situation in private? A lot of the time, it's just someone claiming one work is theirs when its not. No profits are being made, no money out of the true artist's pocket. Yet the artist can't bring themself to not be an absolute dick about it.

A lot of that kind of art theft is perpetrated by little kids, probably under twelve. Do they really need the stress of dozens of angry, equally ridiculous TARTlets spamming their page with profanity and ill will? Probably not. Do people need to be providing said profanity and ill will? Definitely not.

Personally, I think a good number of the artists who engage in the cyber crucifiction of the art thieves are just prideful, immature assholes who've got a painfully inflated self image due to their own e-popularity, and take any offense against their person with all the grace of a spoiled six year-old.
